ABOUT ME
Stylist Adrienne Leak believes that hair can thrive in whatever style as long as it’s healthy. An Atlanta native, Adrienne has been reviving clients’ hair while serving up trendy styles for more than 20 years.
A noted ethnic hair specialist, Adrienne is an expert with relaxers and the coloring of ethnic hair. Her proficiency in natural hair care landed her a spot in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s article on African-American women and their decision to wear their natural hair. However, no matter the type or texture of hair, Adrienne has the ability to provide creative cuts and artistic colors to both classic and modern styles.
Coming in at the forefront of the natural hair movement, Adrienne has seen many changes in the industry and the unwillingness of professionals to get on board with this change. This caused the consumers to seek other options that led to them figuring things out on their own. While the consumer natural hair world has made amazing strides and contributed to the majority of natural hair education, Adrienne believes there are still professional gaps that can be filled. Her goal is to bridge that gap by contributing her knowledge and expertise and bringing the Licensed Professional back into the conversation.
When Adrienne is not styling everyday clients, you can find her as a Copywriter for beauty brands educational material, Product Testing, on set as Lead Stylist for Beauty Campaigns, or Consulting for major haircare brands such as Just For Me, African Pride, Dr. Miracle, ORS Curls Unleashed and more. She has been a repeated featured stylist for CurlBox and Educator for Nioxin, Wella, and Sebastian Professional haircare brands. She is currently building her very own Educational Curriculum for A. Leak Hair Academy.
A graduate of Atlanta Technical College, Adrienne’s work has been featured in national magazines, including Upscale, Six Degrees and Rolling Out. She has an extensive background in stage, film and commercial styling and has traveled throughout the US as an educator and stylist. She is currently owner of A. Leak Hair Studio and previous owner of HairNirvana Salon.
